I’ve been seeing this sort of question begin to pop up these days and it for some it brings with it a feeling of stress or fear of failure. I’m often a goal oriented person (I’m working on it) so I understand this feeling well. I’ve spoken to my guide about this but let’s ask Zero his perspective.

( Questions are me, and Zero’s answers in quotations )

Is enlightenment the the goal of incarnating here on Earth?

“For some yes, but this is not a requirement. From our point of view, your only requirement is something you will do without fail which is to experience the life you chose, with some flexibility, until you leave your physical incarnation.

The idea of enlightenment has always been part of your physical experience because it is a part of your experience beyond. Ancient books, stories, and symbols often speak about this idea and offer practices on how one might achieve the idea of enlightenment. To become free of suffering and have access to the knowledge of all creation. All beings are indeed part of a flow in this direction.

While the experience of physical incarnation on Earth (and in other places) might be ultimately aiding you in your expansion of consciousness, it may not be that the idea of enlightenment needs to occur in this specific incarnation.

For example, a being might incarnate just to experience a few moments of physical life only to leave moments later. A being may incarnate only to feel extreme physical limitation or to experience what Earth life might be like with immediate unlimited resources. Some may come in already enlightened while some others may incarnate to feel the exact opposite. Each being has their own unique path to explore.

We find that the sense that enlightenment must be achieved during this incarnation might be being confused with becoming aware that this may be the ultimate goal to most beings.

The idea of enlightenment may be your goal during this specific incarnation, maybe for many beings. But it may not be for some. Feeling stress and pressure to achieve enlightenment is often a hinderance to that goal. We encourage all beings to move through life by following what excites you. Exploring the paths that bring you happiness and to learn from those that may not. Like many famous sayings suggest, life is the journey, not the destination. There is no race to enlightenment. Unless of course, you want there to be.”

Thanks Zero.

“We would like to add something before we go. The hurry towards enlightenment is not always but often the hurry away from things you don’t wish to experience. We would like to add, that if the idea of enlightenment is your goal, the acceptance of the things you do not like will get you closer to an enlightened state than the resistance to them will. Once they are accepted you will begin to operate from a place where they can be changed, if that’s something you would like to experience.”

A big thanks to Zero for sharing this.

Have you been feeling pressured to feel enlightened? If so, how has this affected you? Do you respond well to pressure or maybe you prefer you’re own pace? I myself am somewhere in between but this initially left me feeling a little more in charge of what I want from my experience here this time around.

Talk soon,
